ALEA JACTA has unveiled Workshop, a Spring/Summer 2026 campaign marking the launch of the Athens-based brand’s first collection of flat knitted accessories and bags. Rather than focusing solely on the finished products, the campaign highlights the craftsmanship, technical expertise and manufacturing processes that underpin every piece.

Photographed entirely within the company’s family-run Athens Knit Lab, the campaign offers a behind-the-scenes view of the environment where the collection is designed and produced. Industrial knitting technology, innovative manufacturing techniques and leather craftsmanship are brought together to create contemporary accessories that combine functionality with sculptural design.

Rooted in three generations of textile expertise, Workshop explores the relationship between heritage and innovation. The imagery showcases the machinery and materials involved in transforming recycled yarns and carefully sourced leather into limited-edition accessories designed for long-term use.

The campaign also reflects the increasing rarity of advanced industrial flat knitting expertise, paying tribute to the technical knowledge and craftsmanship required to keep these specialist skills alive while adapting them for contemporary fashion.
Founded in 2025 by Marianna Fasoi, ALEA JACTA combines modern knitting techniques with traditional leather-making to produce small-batch accessories in Athens. Manufactured in the family’s knitting factory, the products are made using recycled and eco-conscious fibres alongside locally sourced leather, with an emphasis on durability, material integrity and responsible production.

The brand’s origins lie in a family knitting business established by Marianna Fasoi’s grandparents, which has evolved into the Athens Knit Lab. Today, the facility serves as both the creative and manufacturing centre for the brand, combining inherited knitting expertise with contemporary machinery and design research.

Each accessory pairs engineered knitted structures with handcrafted leather components developed in collaboration with local artisans. The combination provides strength, structure and durability while preserving the tactile qualities of the knitted material.

Before founding ALEA JACTA, Fasoi studied Cultural Management and worked in theatre, where she developed an interest in storytelling and collaborative creativity. She later co-founded Athens Knit Lab with her father Vasilios Fasois, creating the platform from which the accessories brand emerged. Her work continues to champion independent makers, ethical production and contemporary textile innovation.
